Making supply chains and production processes resilient - flexis advises how to do it.

NEWS

Stuttgart, Germany, March 2021. Lockdown, collapse of demand, breakdown of supply chains. The logistics of many manufacturing companies in Germany have proven vulnerable in the Covid-19 pandemic. Delivery problems for certain components or from some countries have disrupted production in subsequent value-added steps. This is also due to "just-in-time" or "just-in-sequence" production and the associated low inventory levels, for example.

Numerous manufacturing companies are now considering innovative approaches to purchasing and logistics strategies to make supply chains more resilient in the long term, more robust against unforeseen events, but also against "normal" disruptions. Concepts include increased warehousing and dual sourcing, especially for production related components. Consideration is also being given to how local (German or European) value networks can be established for critical components. The goal: to open the view towards a holistic consideration of supplier relationships.

The more systematic management of supply chain, product and supplier risks is also close to the hearts of the federal and state governments. That's why they support companies that use consulting services on these topics. The funding rate for consulting services can be up to 80 percent.

flexis has been advising on all aspects of supply chain digitalization for years. Now the company has registered in the Baden-Württemberg consultant database transformationswissen-bw.de. For customers, this means that they can take advantage of the qualified advice of flexis experts and save several thousand euros in the process.

flexis supports its customers in word and deed to make their supply chains and production resilient. Together with the customers, we check whether their projects are eligible for funding and, in the positive case, we tackle the projects with them.
