Major progress in the EU DigiPrime project for Circular Economy
Stuttgart, September 2022. The DigiPrime project, funded by EU’s Horizon 2020 program, is working on developing a Digital Platform for Circular Economy in Cross-sectorial Sustainable Value Networks.
A meeting of the participants of the EU project DigiPrime took place from September 6 to 8 2022. The two-part meeting with more than 60 partners from 12 countries took place in Hildesheim and Fulda, Germany, to visit the partners Bosch and EDAG and to present concrete pilots of the project.
In the coming months until the end of the project in the year 2024, extensive testing of the developed services will take place at the application partners, in the case of flexis AG at Knorr-Bremse's remanufacturing plant in Liberec, Czech Republic, for which flexis has developed several services. One of them is the identification of optimal products (cores) for remanufacturing. Another service is a route planning service for the optimal logistical handling of cores picked up from workshops across Europe in the reverse logistics network of Knorr-Bremse, Bosch and Vitesco.
After the participants had not met in person for a long time, there were many aspects to discuss for which there is often too little time in digital meetings. But the cultural aspect was not neglected either: A guided tour of the Unesco World Heritage sites in Hildesheim was organized for the participants in the evening.
