In the context of the awarding of this years Deutschlandstipendium (Germany scholarship) at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), flexis AG started supporting a promising student for the first time. In total, 229 students of the institution receive this kind of support. Since our company has been in contact with KIT for some time, we have decided to take on one of the scholarships for the first time in the academic year 2017/2018. The choice fell on Matthias Löwen, who studies industrial engineering in Karlsruhe.
The awarding of the certificate to Mr. Löwen took place on November 16th in the premises of KIT. It was personally handed over by a flexis employee. A total of 143 companies, foundations, private persons and alumni donated to support the Deutschlandstipendium at KIT.
The scholarship that is available all over Germany has been launched in 2011. It is intended to honor students with outstanding achievements, reward social commitment, or promote young scientists who have to overcome particular hurdles on the way to graduation. In 2016, around 25.500 German students were granted a Deutschlandstipendium.
