Functionality

flexis Advanced Planning Suite (APS) is comprised of four modules which can be used either independently or collectively for order and production planning. The individual modules are:

The flexis APS Sequencer
In series production with a wide range of variants, the number of limitless possible production sequences is virtually unmanageable. The flexis APS Sequencer assists the Planner and planning function in selecting the most favorable sequencesthat enables him/her to react promptly to any disruptions that may occur.

The flexis APS Re-Sequencer
The flexis APS Re-Sequencer is designed to react to expected and unexpected disruptions in the order sequence. This permits, even under the usually difficult circumstances, daily output targets to be achieved and customer orders to be completed on time and on schedule.

The flexis APS Pre-Select
The flexis APS Pre-Select is applied in the capacity-constrained generation of
order packages for short- and midterm planning intervals.
Even in this early planning step, future sequencing constraints are taken into
consideration. One strong advantage of APS-Pre-Select over conventional production is that it extends sequencing
constraints by taking capacity information into account. This includes the
internal pre-assembly as well as supply network capacities.

The flexis APS Planner
The flexis APS Planner is used to intelligently generate daily buckets for
order sequencing in the production departments. Daily and weekly buckets are, in the majority of cases, generated based on logistics criteria. The flexis APS Planner already considers the same sequencing constraints used in the subsequent order sequencing. This guarantees uniform material and parts supply with high service compliance.
