Software Developer/ Associate Consultant
flexis North America is seeking to enlarge its continental team and is looking for a Software Developer/ Associate Consultant.
Responsibilities:
The primary purpose is to support lead consultants responsible for design, implementation, and roll out of flexis software mainly in the US and Canada. Other responsibilities include: assists in formulating and defining system scope; preparing design documentation; software coding/ development, testing, and debugging of flexis products; consulting with users and other IT professionals to develop business processes or resolve program issues. Associate consultants will provide technical and process solutions required during supply chain management implementations.
Location:
Toronto or Columbus Office
Requirements:
Candidates should have basic knowledge in the area of SCM either through university curriculum or practical experience. They should also be able to demonstrate an understanding of supply chain and production philosophies in the automotive industry (Toyota production system and others). Basic project management skills would also be welcome.
In addition, candidates should have several years of experience with programming and scripting languages (Phython, Java, JavaScript) as well as relational database management systems. Development and customization experience with J2EE application servers (Tomcat, IBM WebSphere) would be an asset.
Candidates should also have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, should have very strong analytical skills, be self-motivated, work well under pressure, and be able to work independently as well as in a team.
Some travel will be required. Project participation in Europe or Asia is also possible.
Education:
Bachelor or Master of (Applied) Science degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field.
