„With flexis APS we intent to make our sequencing in our bus production facility in Ankara more efficient, using the sequencing planning which has already been successfully installed in our truck plants and in our engine plant in Nürnberg.

Our process chain begins with the assembly line in body shell work and paintwork, followed by two assembly areas with two and four parallel assembly lines, all the way to the finish. To successfully make use of our total capacity of 2000 buses per year and at the same time guarantee a high degree of on-time delivery for a wide range of model variations, we need shorter cycle times.

To achieve this, optimal assembly line sequencing is required to take into account the most important production constraints and pearl chain aligned material. By implementing flexis APS we have taken another important step towards an expandable optimization solution of our production and logistics processes.“
